Getting it right

Three things that decide whether a bowl gets used

Measure to the chest, not the head

A raised bowl should sit a little below chest height. Too high strains the neck; too low defeats the point of raising it.

Slow feeders work by geometry

A maze slows a fast eater because the food is hard to reach, not because the bowl is small. A shallow maze does nothing for a determined dog.

Kibble volume is not bag weight

A bin rated for a weight assumes standard kibble. Larger or denser kibble fills the same bin much faster.
